The characters in this story are farmers and makers of sparkling wines, united by a deep sense of pride of place and a far-reaching project: to produce a Metodo Classico spumante of superior quality, an excellence that will express the essence of a place better suited than any other for cultivating grapevines. These people have dedicated their efforts to developing a new method of viticulture, aiming at developing the area before the wine itself, planting vines in places once overlooked by many in order to best bring out their essence while respecting the identity of each individual producer.

ALTA LANGA ACADEMY is dedicated to this community, encompassing all the families of vineyard tenders and producers of Alta Langa DOCG, who are thinking today about what will benefit the designation and this area tomorrow. A few years back, as the number of vineyards and producers increased, the importance of telling and sharing the fascinating history of Alta Langa became clear: the know-how in technology and viticulture, as well as the values that have been handed down and are shared by all those who dedicate their efforts to producing our bottle-fermented sparkling wines. This knowledge-based system is constantly updated and fine-tuned, allowing us to achieve better and better results.

This website is designed to provide an authoritative point of reference regarding historical events and techniques, as well as a unanimous and profound testimonial on the founding values and quality of the designation, thus renewing over time that gentlemen’s agreement which with “a generous, fraternal and honest handshake” has been and still is the cornerstone of our legacy and will serve as an example for those to come.
